We have an opportunity within HSBC Channel Islands (CIIOM) business for a Third Party Risk Manager
Third Party Risk Manager (TPRM) is part of the Chief Control Office within the Chief Operating Office and supports the CIIOM Entity on all aspects of management reporting, governance, risk oversight and administration for the implementation and ongoing management of the HSBC Third Party Risk Policy Framework and associated activities.
Working to drive continuous improvement across CIIOM, specifically relating to internal and external third-party service provision in the application and operation of the ‘Framework’. This is a team that needs to balance a demanding and fast paced agenda; workload and desired outcomes will change according to business need. The successful candidate will own delivery for specific tasks as well as supporting the team to complete all tasks on time and to a very high standard.
In this role you will:
- Own and support the implementation of Group Third Party programmes of work and review and monitor Third Party Risk related issues across the Business, including delivery performance of Third Parties.
- Take responsibility for Third Party Risk reporting, producing packs, briefing updates and papers for senior risk management committees this includes acting as Chair and / or Secretariat for Third Party Risk Governance Committee/Forum.
- Support the Business as the nominated point of contact for TPRM for related matters on behalf of HSBC CIIOM.
- Providing advice and guidance to Third Party Engagement Managers, Risk Owners and Accountable Executives from within the business.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Good awareness of how the principles of Risk, Compliance and Governance etc are applied in a business setting is essential.
- Confident in dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is essential.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with Excel data to formulate actionable resolutions is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to learn quickly and manage conflicting priorities is essential
- Willing to contribute to team objectives including taking a lead to achieve shared goals is essential
This role is based in the Channel Islands – Guernsey, Jersey or Isle of Man. To comply with local Right to Work regulations this role is open to CIIOM residents only.
