We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product FX Specialist based in Jersey, Channel Islands.
FX Pricing Desk Specialists focuses on executing FX transactions for customers contacting the FX Pricing Desk directly or by using the Global Markets dealer platform (Evolve FX) and MWS. This a customer facing role responsible for actively managing a portfolio of international Premier Expat and/or Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) Premier customers, providing high quality service to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and completing full reviews to establish and address their immediate and future FX financial needs. Providing specialist pricing support by negotiating FX rates outside the standard board rate when appropriate (within approved discretionary pricing guidelines and authority) and by managing currency risk and generating revenue from spreads and trading decisions. The FX Specialist will also support grow high-quality deposits and negotiate deposit interest rates with customers within the bank’s pricing guidance.

In this role you’ll:
- Apply discretionary FX margins responsibly, reflecting trade size, frequency, relationship value, and market conditions.
- Maintain audit-ready pricing by recording a clear “reasonable basis” for each discretionary trade in the trade register.
- Support governance and compliance through daily reconciliations and escalation/management review of any pricing exceptions.
- Act as the Retail FX subject-matter expert, providing market insight and value-added support to customers.
- Proactively contact customers, make suitable recommendations, and clearly explain benefits and risks.
- Deliver product training and customer financial education on markets and solutions.
- Negotiate competitive deposit pricing to protect profitability and grow/retain high-value balances.
- Produce pricing proposals and secure approvals for exception FX rates and deposit interest rates.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Near-completion or holder of a relevant Level 4 qualification (e.g. Dip CII, CISI, or equivalent QCF RDR Level 4).
- Wealth management accreditation and any required local licences (advantage).
- Regulatory qualifications (e.g. UK FCA Certification) (advantage).
- Strong technical capability in wealth management with a proven sales track record, including FX analysis, spot FX, and deposit mobilisation.
- Relationship management experience: HNW client exposure preferred.
- Self-directed and decisive, able to develop and deliver an agreed strategy.
- Passion for phone-based sales, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clear understanding of working with Compliance, Credit & Risk, and Internal Control to maintain a balanced risk environment.
- Highly customer-centric, committed to delivering exceptional service quality.
- Experience with MWS, Evolve, or similar systems for booking FX trades.
