We have an opportunity within HSBC Channel Islands (CIIOM) business for a Sales Manager - Institutional Sales, Global Payment Solutionss (GPS) – This is a GCB5 level role.
Global Payment Solutions (GPS) Europe covers 15+ countries in the region with full-service capabilities within the three largest economies, UK, France and Germany. The role forms part of Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Sales team working with HSBC Group's largest Corporate & Institutional clients in providing and supporting the full range of payments and cash management related products and solutions.

In this role you will:
- Build and develop relationships with CIB clients, primarily Institutional Client Group (ICG) and Corporate Service Providers (CSP),
- Implement a sales strategy to drive GPS revenues by winning new deals through active business development and deal origination in conjunction with agree targets
- Build and maintain relationships with internal Corporate & Institutional Banking teams (CIB) – Corporate Relationship Managers / Directors, Product / Market Management and Client Implementation/Management in order to leverage business opportunities.
- Ensure all appropriate data and information systems and platforms are kept up date and with accurate input to adhere to internal controls.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Have relevant experience of a Financial Services environment with a good understanding of corporate banking, treasury services, global cash management or other associated services such FX and Liquidity is essential. Knowledge of Institutional Clients would be a bonus.
- Able to evidence strong success of working in target driven, client facing sales origination or business development role is essential
- Possess very strong interpersonal skills that engenders a ‘Trusted Partner’ status within a varied stakeholder groups including internal colleagues and external client is essential
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse, interpret and distil complex and varied data into easily digestible and usable content such as presentation is essential
- Extremely well organised and takes a pragmatic approach to dealing with multiple demands on your time and managing tasks with conflicting priorities essential.
This role is based in the Channel Islands – Jersey. To comply with local regulations this role is open to UK / CIIOM based residents only or people with appropriate CIIOM Right to Work.
