We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Real Estate Operations Manager based in Jersey.

 

Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Services CIIOM, the role holder is expected to provide leadership and oversight of our office and retail portfolio covering project delivery, facilities management, workplace construction management, ESG and more.

 

In this role you will lead and deliver market leading and safe Operational services to keep our properties fit for our employees and customers as required by the Corporate Services Operating Model and while implementing against the Bank Strategies e.g. Carbon Net Zero. We are looking for someone to manage the delivery of the Contract & Commercial commitments with our global outsourced strategic partners (i.e. JLL) and all other direct supplier relationships, obtaining additional value from the integrated service approach. You will be a point of contact for GB/GFs as required and key stakeholders while delivering/implementing services

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Support your line manager in ensuring appropriate governance is developed and implemented with robust documentation and supporting management policies to identify, remediate, and record any risk and issues in line with HSBC policy.
  • Provide robust financial planning, management, tracking and reporting of the Function’s budget with Global Finance, ensuring implementation of CS Target Operating Model - including enforcement of structures and headcount targets. Take ultimate ownership of data sourcing and quality MI.
  • Deliver Operational services, ensuring all HSBC properties are fit for the future and the employee and customer experience is market leading and safe
  • Lead and manage relationships with the Third-Party suppliers providing clarity on roles and responsibilities and acting as main point of escalation to maintain performance standards; ensure any underperformance is addressed and that there is no negative impact on the business
  • Develop and maintain a strong and professional working relationship with executive and senior management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Businesses and Functions and Third-Party Suppliers

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to be a trusted advisor to the business
  • Ability to communicate and engage with the business and build relationships
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving and dynamic environment
  • Ability to encourage greater team communication and collaboration.
  • Be well versed with a wide spectrum of CRE activities including risk, financial planning and data analysis, communications, and reporting
  • Ability to influence budgetary, financial, and cost saving targets within country
