We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Product Manager – FX and Transactional Banking

 

This role is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of the Foreign Exchange and Transactional Banking product suite for the Channel Islands & Isle of Man (CIIOM). The role reports into the Head of Foreign Exchange and Transactional Banking.

 

Made up of 2 brands, servicing international expatriate clients (HSBC Expat) and local customers across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, the CIIOM business is today responsible for over 150k customers. As a strategic provider of liquidity for the non-ring-fenced bank, as well as being recognised as a priority international market within the global Wealth & Personal Banking strategy, the CIIOM business is at a critical point in its growth story.

 

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Drive the development and launch of new Payment and Transactional Banking products, projects, and initiatives, to grow key market segments and achieve business objectives.
  • Support the strategic vision, delivery, and ongoing commercialisation of new propositions and ensure that all FX, Payments and Transactional Banking policies and processes are fair, compliant, customer-centric, and commercially sustainable across all stages of the customer life cycle
  • Be responsible for product and proposition development, pricing, retention, service, communication and product management across both Expat and Island brands.
  • Ensure that products and services are designed and implemented within regulation to ensure management of Conduct Risk.
  • Streamline activity to deliver better, more efficient products and services, engaging business partners across multiple supporting functions to deliver better journeys and fair outcomes for customers whilst establishing a close working relationship with stakeholders both local and global, actively managing dependencies between teams and other projects and programs.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Experience within Product or Project Management, Product or Customer Journey Proposition Development with proven strategic development abilities is ideal
  • In-depth knowledge of FX and FX pricing is paramount with some knowledge of payments preferable
  • Exposure to delivering projects and the development and implementation of policy and procedures would be advantageous
  • Excellent communications skills twinned with ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organisational and time management skills with solid Excel abilities.
