We are currently seeking a dynamic Marketing Events Manager to join our team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. 

 

As part of the HSBC marketing team our ultimate goal is to drive improvements in HSBC brand equity and contribute to customer growth and increase customer value and satisfaction as we open up a world of opportunity for our customers in Wealth and Personal Banking.

 

Working with across a range of projects, you’ll be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing events and activities, locally across Channel Islands and Isle of Man, and international markets for HSBC Expat to support the growth of our business
  2. Working as part of a team across activation including brand, digital, social, comms
  3. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop and communicate our market proposition for our target audience

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Work closely with business teams, to develop events in response to business briefs, gaining support and buy-in to creative approach and concepts
  • Be responsible for briefing process, recommending opportunities to improve quality and positively influence outcomes
  • Deliver marketing projects to time, budget and quality to achieve the desired outcomes and measure performance against target whilst building effective working relationships with external agencies/suppliers
  • Focus on performance, using data and insight to inform and shape marketing strategy
  • Provide voice of the customer input to marketing and business-led initiatives

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • A proven marketing background is essential with knowledge of the full marketing mix and an understanding of the use of data and analytics in deriving customer value
  • Demonstrate Customer Centricity by focusing on customer journey and experience whilst adopting and championing the agile ways of working in marketing and participate in business value streams/ cross-functional teams.
  • Display a proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment, ability to present creative ideas well to gain buy-in through communicating new concepts and ideas.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills, managing multiple projects simultaneousl, soneone who can think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
  • Adopt an analytical and curious mind, with an interest in understanding human motivations, attitudes and behaviour, and a desire to develop market research and insight skills.
