We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager- FX Pricing Desk
You’ll provide pricing support to Relationship Managers by negotiating FX rates outside standard board rates (where appropriate), in line with approved discretionary pricing guidelines and delegated authorities. You’ll contribute to currency risk management and revenue generation through spread management and support the growth of high-quality deposits by training colleagues on deposit interest rates and supporting customer discussions in line with the Bank’s pricing guidance.
This is not a direct sales role. The focus is enablement of the frontline plus monitoring, control and governance of FX spot pricing and discounting (segregation of duties).

In this role you will:
- Design and deliver FX spot product training/financial education to frontline colleagues, strengthening product understanding and responsible client support (segregation of duties).
- Act as the Retail FX Spot Product Manager/SME, providing market insight, technical guidance and value-added support to frontline teams and customers (with RMs).
- Independently review pricing requests from frontline and approve/decline with appropriate documentation.
- Provide governance over FX pricing discounts and apply discretionary margins within approved authorities, considering trade size/frequency, relationship value and market conditions.
- Produce pricing proposals and obtain approvals for exception FX spot rates and deposit interest rates in line with pricing guidance and governance.
- Support FX execution by engaging with customers alongside the frontline as required (no client acquisition, origination or sales targets).
- Provide daily oversight of pricing exceptions, including escalation, remediation and transparent reporting.
- Coordinate FX lead management and follow-up to ensure tracking and closure in line with agreed processes.
- Ensure the FX Pricing Desk operates effectively and adheres to agreed monitoring and control processes.
Key skills/knowledge:
- Familiarity with FX deal capture/processing systems (e.g. MWS, Evolve Elite) or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of House View and FX Insight to support pricing, execution and client discussions.
- ACI Dealing Certificate (completed).
To be successful, you should have:
- Degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Business (or related) and/or relevant professional qualification.
- ACI Dealing Certificate (completed).
- RDR Level 4 qualification (Dip CII, CISI or equivalent) — completed or in progress.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an active trading environment.
- Strong spot FX execution and pricing discipline in a controlled environment, with a track record of revenue outcomes and customer service.
- Strong understanding of governance, discretionary pricing controls, audit trail expectations and escalation.
- Ability to work effectively with Compliance, Risk and Internal Control; strong conduct and controls mindset.
- Comfortable using MI/performance metrics and translating insight into action.
- Strong written and verbal communication; confident influencing stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English.
