We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join this team in the role of International Mortgage Arranger

 

HSBC CIIOM offers a mortgage proposition to support international customers purchase property, with the proposition being key in attracting new customers to HSBC Expat to grow our strategically important business. By identifying the most appropriate solution for our customers the International Mortgage Arranger supports customers to secure a mortgage or loan offer from HSBC Expat, other parts of HSBC Group or external markets working with HSBC.

As a key contributor to the overall mortgage, lending and new customer acquisition plans for the Channel Islands & Isle of Man business, individuals performing consistently will enjoy high visibility within the wider Premier business providing fantastic opportunities to develop their careers.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Through proactive business development build relationships across HSBC Group to increase referrals into and out of HSBC CIIOM.
  • Proactively drive mortgage and lending sales performance to ensure HSBC CIIOM exceeds sales plan.
  • Coach performance improvement of HSBC  teams to identify more customer opportunities and refer quality leads to yourself and others.
  • Personally conduct new mortgage and lending appointments with international expat clients, conducting full credit assessments by reviewing the applicants worldwide banking relationships and income streams before recommending to credit managers for formal approval.
  • Identify additional products and services that may benefit customers, referring to specialists as appropriate.
  • Develop relationships across HSBC Group to increase referrals into and out of HSBC CIIOM
  • Provide ongoing oversight to ensure the customer then successfully completes their journey.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Customer Service: Proven experience of managing multiple customers at the same time through an end to end journey whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Track record of high performance working in the Mortgage and Lending Environments: Prior experience in arranging and assessing customer mortgage and lending applications is highly desirable however not essential. It is desirable that candidates have relevant mortgage qualifications to provide a highly professional service to customers but the opportunity can become available to achieve these whilst in role.
  • Building Relationships: To be successful the role holder will be experienced in coaching to allow them to support Relationship Managers to identify potential opportunities for referral to themselves.
  • Ability to Adapt to Regular Change: Successful candidates are expected to be flexible and support regular improvements to the proposition.
  • Identifying Customer Needs: Customers seeking an international mortgage or tailored lending request may also benefit from wider services that HSBC CIIOM can support them with. An ideal candidate would have proven experience identifying these needs and successfully referring customers to specialists to meet these customer needs.

The location of this role can be working from Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of man.
