Head of Financial Crime, Corporate & Institutional Banking Advisory and Tax Transparency

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Financial Crime, CIB Advisory and Tax Transparency.
In this role you will provide advisory services to Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) CIIOM to ensure a clear understanding of Financial Crime (FC) exposure with respect to clients, transactions and products.
To support CIB line management to ensure that all business is conducted in accordance with the letter and the spirit of all applicable laws, rules, regulations, codes of practice, Global Standards Manual and Compliance Section of the Global Risk FIM.

In this role you will:
• Articulate the Financial Crime risks for CIB and the Tax Transparency risks across all Lines of Business in CIIOM
• Primarily to support CIB FC Advisory, to maintain an effective control framework and to ensure compliance with all relevant external laws & regulations, internal codes and policies and good market practices.
• Provide advisory services to CIB business in order to ensure a clear understanding of Financial Crime risk exposure with respect to clients, transactions and products
• Provide advisory services to all Lines of Business across CIIOM in order to ensure a clear understanding of Tax Transparency risk exposure with respect to clients, transactions and products
• Be responsible for second line governance of Financial Crime and Tax Transparency risk exposures, providing analysis, reporting and governance to CIIOM that is independent of the first line of defence, thereby maintaining an objective assessment of risk exposure
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Robust level of Compliance and financial services knowledge and experience, including knowledge and practical experience of Group policy regarding CIB and the related legislation/orders/codes of practice and the ability to apply this effectively and independently and as part of the team
• People management experience and the ability to motivate personnel in a challenging and constantly developing environment is desirable
• Ability and drive to raise standards and Financial Crime and Tax Transparency culture across CIIOM
• Experience of markets and company/corporates conducted within either CIIOM or a similar environment
• Experience of managing relationships with regulators and auditors
This role is based in Jersey.
