Global Network Banking is CIB’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Corporate Banking customers. The Global Network Banking strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The Global Network Banking business is a significant contributor of revenue to CIB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 40 countries.
We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Global Network Relationship Director
The successful individual will work closely with Group entities and GRBs to increase the flow of high value client relationship referrals into Jersey.

In this role you will:
- Take a hands-on approach to achieving business objectives and performance management and act as a conduit between GRB and their client referrals offshore.
- Successfully manage own portfolio, adding to the overall success of the CIB CIIOM strategy whilst establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers.
- Communicating new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers whilst working with GRM/GRBs to deliver HSBC’s Sustainable Finance capabilities.
- Devise plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing customers to achieve asset growth and revenue targets.
- Deliver high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customers or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards in addition to developing effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in these segments.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Very strong experience in the financial services industry with proven client facing exposure being a must
- Demonstrable knowledge of HSBC group processes with a deep knowledge of ways in which to interact with a variety of global stakeholders
- Some previous expertise in risk management, credit risk, GPS and liabilities would be advantageous with some understanding of capturing deposits being beneficial
- Highly confident, flexible with excellent presentation skills and an energetic and collaborative approach
- Strong organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills with first class interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills, an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
