We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Compliance Advisory Manager, Trust & Fiduciary Services - 12 Month Fixed term contract.

The Trust & Fiduciary Services Compliance Manager is responsible for providing guidance and oversight across both Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance to ensure that our operations are effective in identifying, managing, and mitigating Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime and Fraud risks for Trust & Fiduciary Services in Jersey.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Trust & Fiduciary Services Financial Crime Senior Manager and the Compliance Officer for HSBC Trustee (C.I.) Limited and its participating members in discharging their legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support the maintenance of good relationships with the Jersey Financial Services Commission, the Joint Financial Crimes Unit, and any other Jersey Authority
  • Articulate the Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime and Fraud risks for Trust & Fiduciary Services
  • Support line management to maintain an effective compliance control framework to ensure that all business is conducted in accordance with the letter and the spirit of all applicable laws, rules, regulations, codes of practice, global principles, and good market practice
  • Provide guidance and advice to ensure clear understanding of compliance risk exposure with respect to clients, transactions, and products
  • Foster a positive culture of compliance by working proactively with the business line, compliance colleagues and other risk stewards to ensure that best practices are followed in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policy

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstratable expertise in Financial Crime and Compliance risk management
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks
  • Good understanding of relevant Jersey legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
  • Ability and drive to raise standards and regulatory conduct culture across the businesses
  • Experience of managing relationships with regulators and auditors
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the confidence and ability to interact and negotiate with executive and senior management, and always being solution focused and commercially aware
