We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Wealth Sales Team Head, Onshore Banking.
In this role you will:
- Lead, develop and manage a team of Personal Wealth Managers managing our Personal Banking clients to ensure achievement of the business objectives
- The incumbent has a vital role to play in effectively leading and implementing change as an integral part of delivering business strategies
- Focus on nurturing and activating team’s portfolio of clients to fund up to Premier Balance, thereby making referrals to Core RM teams
- Educating the team to drive client to adopt a Digital First approach with focus on minimizing in branch activities while educating customers to transition to digital and remote channels (For low value activities)
- Create and maintain an environment the team maximizes performances in achieving overall IWPB objectives
- Ensure the business run effectively and efficiently in accordance to the IWPB operating model
- Passionate in coaching and guiding PWMs via GROW model to guide and upskill the team
- Perform continuous customer base and leads analysis to identify potential client leads and opportunities
- Detailed, meticulous and precise in identifying opportunities and gaps and ability to craft out quick business strategies to achieve business goals
- Working closely with other members of the Wealth Management team, such as investment and insurance specialists to provide holistic solutions to our onshore banking Personal Banking clients
- Ability to constantly inspect what we expect on team’s deliverables on regular basis
- Demonstrate strong ability to lead the team to self-source, develop new business by actively prospecting for new clients and referrals, and leveraging your existing network to generate New to Bank leads
- Fulfilling clients necessitates while providing an exceptional client experience is the expected behavior from all our employees and it will be measured by specific metrics
- Ensure the team adhere to all KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhere to
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding the bank, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
To be successful you will need:
- The successful candidate has relevant academic qualifications and over 5 years of work experience in Wealth Management, preferably with a proven and successful track record of leading a team
- Highly driven and possess the ability to succeed within a challenging environment
- Strong intrinsic motivation to effectively recruit, groom and manage a team of young bankers to fulfil customers' personal banking and wealth management needs
- Strong understanding of sales processes, financial markets and investment products
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills to be able to work individually as well as to collaborate with stakeholders to meet overall team’s objectives
- Outgoing disposition, well-equipped with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Down to earth and resilient individual with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset who is able to work independently and in a strong team environment
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
