Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Wealth Sales Director, Offshore Banking.
In this role you will:
- Lead their team/s to deliver performance measures and Country Strategic Plan.
- Manage & coach the Premier and Premier Elite Wealth Sales Managers and Relationship Managers under their team to drive performance with a hands-on style to grow their capability in understanding customers better through understanding of the countries’ culture and language affinity, productivity and customer experience level.
- To collaboratively build and grow a strong presence in Singapore and the countries/ regions covered.
- Lead the team in line with the processes and cross borders compliance as depicted in the cross border team and other operational guidelines so to achieve consistency of management of the staff and delivery of service and sales to non-resident clients.
- Monitor and act on daily customer management activity by active usage of internal information tools to coach the team and achieve the business goals.
- To generate significant awareness of the HSBC International proposition in the region, and to encourage co-operation between other HSBC Countries Markets and local country in servicing customer needs. The role holder will also need to manage policy, system procedural, compliance procedures, and changes in line with Group directives and staff expectations from a remote office location, across applicable legal jurisdictions, external regulators and time zones.
- Positively position Overseas Chinese proposition in order to help increase quality referrals across Global Premier as part of BAU customer need assessment.
- Support the development of strategic plans to grow the corridor through new Premier customer acquisition across various sources & continuously develop new acquisition channels and alliances.
- Spearhead customer events for in-country and oversees for customer engagement and customer acquisition.
- Lead in the formulation and implementation of cross-border business development initiatives and deepening of relationships with partner sites.
- Drive internal communications and implementation of sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives to the IWH team.
- Maintain good relationships and collaborate with respective corridors stakeholders to enable international collaboration and growth within IWH.
To be successful you will need:
- The successful candidate has strong academic qualifications and over 8 years of work experience in Wealth Management with a proven track record of leading a team
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills to be able to work individually as well as to collaborate with stakeholders to meet overall team’s objectives
- Highly driven and possess the ability to succeed within a challenging environment
- Outgoing disposition, well-equipped with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Down to earth and resilient individual with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset who is able to work independently and in a strong team environment
- Highly driven to excel and be able to thrive within a challenging environment by effectively recognizing customers' personal banking and wealth management needs
