Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Fund Governance and Due Dilligence.
In this role you will:
- Own the fund due diligence framework and ongoing suitability assessment for the ILP fund shelf
- Design and maintains the risk-tiered due diligence framework including methodology, standards, exception triggers, escalation.
- Conduct onboarding due diligence on proposed funds and managers.
- Execute the periodic re-assessment cycle: full due diligence on) and perform ongoing suitability monitoring: quarterly peer percentile review, red-status tracking, watchlist, event-driven re-reviews
- Lead remediation of funds outside approval criteria: enhanced due diligence, manager action plans.
- Ensure fund-level compliance with MAS Notice 307, including look-through monitoring against CIS Code investment guidelines and accuracy of fund disclosures and Evidence Fair Dealing (FSG-G04) outcomes: documented selection rationale and ongoing target-segment suitability
- Manage manager information flows: questionnaires, data requests, periodic review meetings
- Deliver governance reporting to Product Committee and senior management; support transition from the outgoing group function
To be successful you will need:
- Degree in finance, economics, business, actuarial science or a related discipline; CFA or CAIA designation preferred
- Extensive experience in fund research, manager selection, investment due diligence or fund governance, within insurance, asset management, private banking or a fund platform
- Working knowledge of the Singapore regulatory framework for investment-linked business: MAS Notice 307, the CIS Code, CPFIS requirements and the Fair Dealing Guidelines (FSG-G04)
- Demonstrated experience conducting manager due diligence across asset classes and fund structures (UCITS, unit trusts, ETFs, feeder and ILP sub-fund structures), covering investment process, team, liquidity, leverage, fees and flows
- Proven ability to write committee-grade papers and present assessments and recommendations to senior governance forums
- Experience managing external fund manager relationships, including due diligence questionnaires and periodic reviews
