We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a VP, Product Management (Fund & Discretionary) - International Wealth & Premier Banking.

 

The UT Product Manager is responsible for managing and expanding HSBC’s mutual funds platform to deliver AUM growth, product penetration, and sustainable revenue. The role balances strategic product development, frontline enablement, and client engagement, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk standards. It is a business-critical function that drives competitiveness in Singapore’s wealth management market.


Key Responsibilities

1. Product Shelf Management & Innovation

  • Curate and manage the UT product shelf across asset classes, share classes, and fund houses to ensure breadth, depth, and competitiveness
  • Identify product gaps and onboard new funds/share classes aligned to CIO views, client demand, and market trends
  • Protect realized margins through effective product economics, pricing strategies, and campaign design

2. Sales & AUM Growth

  • Design and execute UT campaigns (RM-assisted, digital, omni-channel) that drive sales, penetration, and recurring inflows
  • Track and report performance against KPIs (AUM growth, net sales, penetration, ROI)

3. Frontline Productivity & Advocacy

  • Develop playbooks, portfolio advisory frameworks, and training programs to enhance RM confidence in positioning funds
  • Lead structured engagements (sales clinics, teach-ins, huddles) to strengthen frontline advocacy

4. Client Engagement & Marketing

  • Conceptualize and deliver marquee events, thematic campaigns, and FundStart initiatives that build brand trust and generate flows
  • Enhance marketing and educational materials to improve client experience and adoption
  • Integrate CIO insights, house views, and thematic messaging into client-facing campaigns

5. Risk & Regulatory Management

  • Manage legal agreements, trailer fee structures, and operational risks in partnership with Legal, Risk, and Operations.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline
  • At least 3 years’ experience in product management, mutual funds, or wealth management
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, fund economics, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence RMs, senior management, and fund house partners
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Good in Microsoft Office, Morningstar Direct and Bloomberg
  • Digital and data-driven mindset; experience in omni-channel distribution an advantage
