We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a VP, International Desk Manager

 

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for working with our corridor partners to maximize inbound and outbound referral business, to fulfill multi-corridor needs for New To Bank and New To Group customers. The focus would be for India
  • Work with International Banking Centre and Customer onboarding team to understand the conversion rates for referrals from and to partner corridors and look at opportunities to improve the conversions
  • Review the referrals that we have received from corridors to analyze the quality of accounts acquired
  • Work towards improving the fund flow from corridor partners to HSBC Singapore and from HSBC Singapore to other markets. Look at increasing the capture rate in both directions
  • Acquire Lead Generators (LG) in Singapore and look at building upon the cross-border LG opportunities in the markets that are enabled. In the absence of LG approvals, look at partnerships that can be developed
  • Work with Corporate & Institutional Banking corridor partners to look at increasing the referrals from these and International Employee Workplace Solutions (EWS) to Singapore for the IWH proposition
  • Working with Sales Directors of their respective corridors to work towards RM referrals and self sourcing and build a sustainable pipeline for acquisition
  • Work with Propositions & Marketing on events that can be done in Singapore and overseas to build acquisition opportunities. To look at communication material that could be developed
  • Drive the Singapore as an International Wealth Hub branding to all partner corridors and work very closely with the WPB Executive Management and be seen as a significant motivator and influencer of people within Singapore and outside

To be successful you will need:

  • The role holder should have relevant experience within a customer focused environment, with a track record on driving growth through collaboration and initiatives

 

In addition to the above:

  • Interaction with different corridors’ (including native speaking countries) prospects/ clients/ colleagues is part of the role hence, dual language i.e. English / Hindi is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the retail banking landscape, and a good understanding of business functions in the context of offshore and international banking
  • Experience in acquisition or business development strategy
  • Clear and effective communication skills, particularly in non-face to face engagement 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with sensitivity towards various cultural backgrounds
  • Efficient time management and project management skills, and ability to manage a diverse range of tasks under pressure
