We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Technology Workstream Lead, Project Sirena (Transformation / Programme Delivery).

Ready to shape the technology delivery of Project Sirena end-to-end?

The Role

HSBC is seeking a Technology Workstream Lead to support Project Sirena, a complex end-to-end transformation programme, from design through implementation and embedding. Reporting to the Programme Director, you’ll own the technology workstream across delivery, governance, risk and operational readiness, working across Business, Operations, Risk, Finance and Technology. The role sits in a highly regulated environment and includes engagement with external regulators, requiring disciplined controls and clear decision-making.

Project Sirena is HSBC Singapore’s multi-year programme to simplify our operating model by combining two MAS-regulated banking entities into one, transferring businesses and infrastructure teams and ultimately surrendering the SGH banking licence with cutover targeted by end-2028. Reporting to the Programme Director, this role owns the Capital and Regulatory Reporting workstream and ensures regulatory compliance across capital, liquidity and regulatory reporting change.

Success means delivering against migration plans with strong cutover execution, transparent reporting and sustainable change adoption. You’ll help translate business goals into future-state operating models aligned to architecture and technology strategy. The outcome is measurable improvement in automation and readiness for customers, colleagues and the business

What you'll be doing

  • Owning the Technology workstream scope, plan, milestones and critical path for Project Sirena
  • Establishing operational readiness and automation efficiencies in partnership with Business and Operations teams
  • Developing detailed execution plans and managing delivery against migration plans with clear programme reporting
  • Governing steering forums and executive updates, setting decision pathways and escalating risks, issues and trade-offs
  • Coordinating integrated plans across workstreams, including dependencies, RAID, delivery assurance and financial controls
  • Running cross-functional workshops to translate business drivers into future-state operating models aligned to technology strategy
  • Managing budget, headcount planning and vendor performance against commercial, risk and delivery expectations
  • Embedding change adoption, benefits tracking and hypercare approaches to ensure sustainable implementation

What we're looking for

  • Bringing substantial years of experience delivering end-to-end large-scale transformation programmes in a global or regional banking context.
  • Demonstrating proven ownership of a core banking migration or equivalent mission-critical platform transformation
  • Showing experience delivering technology change in a merger or integration, carve-out or complex multi-entity environment
  • Applying established cutover planning and execution capability including runbooks, command centre, rollback approach and hypercare
  • Demonstrating working knowledge of core banking domains such as accounts, payments, lending, GL and customer master
  • Applying strong governance, change control discipline and programme controls across scope, schedule, budget and delivery assurance
  • Operating effectively across cross-functional and multi-location teams with accountability for delivery, cost and outcomes
  • Bringing strong risk, control and compliance management aligned to HSBC taxonomy and governance expectations
  • Holding PMP, Change Management, Six Sigma or equivalent certification, or bringing equivalent demonstrable experience are highly preferred

Deliver Project Sirena Technology

If you want to own a technology workstream at the centre of a complex transformation this role offers real scope and visibility. You’ll work across senior stakeholders and regulators to bring clarity to decisions and momentum to delivery. The programme spans technology, operating model and regulatory change so the impact is tangible and lasting. If you’re ready to help implement change that improves operational readiness and automation at scale we’d welcome your application.
