Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Regulatory Compliance (Special Projects) (2-year contract).
In this role you will:
- Lead regulatory assessment, engagement and submissions across multiple jurisdictions, including plans, timelines and quality controls.
- Own and drive the programme’s external regulatory engagement strategy, including supervisory interactions and regulatory liaison.
- Define and execute entity and individual licensing strategy, including approach, sequencing, readiness and contingency planning.
- Coordinate regulator‑facing materials and responses, ensuring consistent messaging and a strong audit trail.
- Drive regulatory issue management and escalation, ensuring timely decisions and appropriate senior governance engagement.
- Oversee regulatory compliance risk governance for the programme, including risk identification, mitigation and reporting.
- Establish and operate an assurance framework over regulatory deliverables prior to cutover.
- Provide clear, decision‑oriented updates to programme leadership and senior management.
To be successful you will need:
- Significant experience leading regulatory engagement and submissions within financial services, ideally across multiple jurisdictions; Previous experience in a regulator‑facing role or working directly with supervisory authorities will be highly beneficial
- Proven experience in project or programme management, particularly in regulatory change or implementation; Strong expertise in entity and individual licensing strategy and execution.
- Proven ability to manage regulatory issues, escalations and senior stakeholders with sound judgement; Strong risk governance and assurance mindset, with experience setting quality standards and providing evidence‑based oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including regulator‑ready materials and concise senior updates.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed programmes at pace, influencing across Businesses and Functions.
- A strong team player who builds collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders; Proactive, self‑motivated and able to take ownership, anticipate issues and drive actions to resolution.
