Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Head of Regulatory Reporting.
In this role you will:
Regulatory Reporting
- Lead the delivery of Finance related regulatory reporting deliverables including completion of internal checklist, reconciliation and analytical review.
- Maintain and enhance regulatory reporting controls established to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure that controls are operating effectively in a sustainable manner.
- Main designated liaison officer to the Regulator for Finance. Responsible for ensuring all regulatory deliverables (e.g. notices, surveys and queries including ad-hoc request) for Finance are completed.
Investment Reporting
- Manage investment reporting deliverables for local and group reporting including month end closing process and ensure accounts are controlled effectively and accounting entries posted correctly, and all exceptions investigated with timely escalation and rectification process in place.
- Provide investment performance analysis in collaboration with investment team.
- Manage investment reporting deliverables relating to investment-linked fund report and company annual statutory accounts.
To be successful you will need:
- University degree in accounting or a related discipline, with a recognized professional accounting qualification an advantage
- Extensive experience in financial reporting in insurance or similar experience in auditing of financial institutions in big 4 auditing firms
- Sound knowledge of Insurance Act, regulatory reporting related notices and surveys
- Strong self-motivation, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
- Knowledge of financial reporting process in particular IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 will be an added advantage ;Knowledge of large language model (LLM) agentic tools is highly desirable
