We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Project Manager.

In this role you will: 

  • Own end-to-end delivery for the Markets & Securities Services (MSS) scope of Project Sirena, accountable for outcomes across time, cost, scope, quality and benefits realisation, ensuring alignment to programme objectives, business priorities and HSBC governance expectations.
  • Lead senior governance and executive engagement, driving clear decision pathways, presenting options and trade-offs, and escalating risks/issues/blockers early to maintain pace and transparency.
  • Direct integrated planning and delivery controls at scale, including cross-workstream dependency management, critical path tracking, RAID, change control, delivery assurance, and disciplined programme reporting.
  • Own financial management and performance MI, including forecasting, actuals, target tracking, and clear narrative on drivers, variances, risks and required decisions.
  • Drive complex transformation execution within Markets & Securities Services, spanning technology, regulatory and operating model change, with a strong focus on front-to-back process integrity and client/service outcomes.
  • Hold workstream leads and key stakeholders accountable for delivery, intervening where progress is at risk, removing impediments, and resolving conflicts across Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance and Compliance.
  • Shape and deliver the target operating model and implementation roadmap, translating business drivers into pragmatic design choices aligned to enterprise architecture, technology strategy and operational readiness needs.
  • Lead risk, control, compliance outcomes, ensuring audit-ready control artefacts, effective operational readiness/cutover, and sustainable embedding of change into BAU across onshore/offshore teams and partners.

 To be successful you will need: 

  • Experience working on large-scale, complex transformation programmes across front-to-back MSS processes (Product, Operations, Technology, Product Control, Risk/Controls); Strong track record delivering business, regulatory and/or technology change, with clear understanding of operating model impacts.
  • Proven ability of working with cross-functional, multi-location teams with accountability for delivery, budget, risk and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated customer engagement mindset, with the ability to understand client needs, shape outcomes and communicate value clearly; Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and influencing skills, including engagement with senior executives and steering committees.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and change control discipline (scope/schedule/budget) skills, including formal governance; Strong risk and control capability, including identification, ownership, management and reporting aligned to HSBC taxonomy.
  • Broad, enterprise-wide view of the organisation and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, capabilities, enabling technologies and governance.
  • Degree (or equivalent practical experience). Certifications such as PMP/ PRINCE2 / Change Management are advantageous; Familiarity with HSBC’s ways of working, values and governance frameworks is beneficial; knowledge of DAP, Value Stream leadership and FSA, expert-level Agile/iterative delivery experience, applied within enterprise governance, are advantageous.
