This team partners closely with business teams to drive simplification and deliver exceptional customer outcomes in Asia and the Middle East region which covers 26 markets, 600+ offices and branches, and more than 140,000 employees. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Business Risk

In this role you will:

  1. Lead and coordinate regulatory engagements (inspections, reviews, consultations), ensuring strong governance and high-quality responses.
  2. Partner with 2LOD, Internal/External Audit and key stakeholders to align risk views, assurance activity, reporting, and remediation outcomes.
  3. Represent Head of Business Risk & Resilience in senior governance (OpCo/Board), providing clear risk narratives, status updates, and recommendations.
  4. Embed the Risk Management Framework across Singapore operational teams and enterprise-wide, ensuring consistent NFR standards, controls, and risk ownership.
  5. Identify, assess, and escalate material issues/incidents and emerging risks promptly, with clear impact and recommended actions.
  6. Provide expert risk and control advice on control design/effectiveness, risk acceptance, policy alignment, and remediation decisions.
  7. Analyse risk/control trends using data, events, audit outcomes and issues to anticipate developments and drive preventative risk management.
  8. Challenge inefficient or overly burdensome controls and behaviours, strengthening effectiveness, accountability, and a sustainable risk culture while delivering at pace.

To be successful you will need:

  1. Extensive risk management experience in large, complex global organisations, with deep Non-Financial Risk expertise and resilience specialism (operational resilience, continuity, incidents).
  2. Strong technical and industry knowledge, including regulatory expectations, industry developments, and operational risk trends, applied with enterprise-wide strategic thinking.
  3. Proven delivery in matrix environments, collaborating across functions, teams, and geographies to balance business priorities with control requirements while meeting governance and quality standards.
  4. Sound judgement under pressure, making timely evidence-based risk decisions with clear rationale, appropriate escalation, and strong personal accountability.
  5. Strong analytical and communication skills, translating complex issues into clear insights, options, and concise senior-level recommendations, with executive presence in governance forums.
  6. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, aligning diverse views, handling constructive challenge, and driving outcomes that promote ownership, learning, and continuous improvement in risk management.
