We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Business Management, Singapore.
In this role you will:
- Drive change and transformation initiatives to achieve FRP / cost targets and efficiency of work processes. Identify simplification, automation opportunities to achieve process efficiency and cost reduction initiatives
- Support value stream change transformation agenda to enable streamlining of processes and strategic operating model for the market
- Monitor cost and resourcing trends with support from CoE and Regional Business Performance Team where appropriate. Liaise and coordinate with local finance on cost related matters, including but not limited to accruals, cost centre review, OSPD related exercise for creating new cost centre, etc
- Coordinate with regional Risk and Compliance Control Office to ensure proper support on issue management process and continuous monitoring activities where appropriate; Lead the coordination of Business Continuity Planning and Deputy BIRO activities, where appropriate
- Support market Chief Risk and Compliance Officer to execute global, regional or local people related initiative by working with HR, Communications, Talent team to enable the building of high performing team culture
- Third Party Management (internal and external) – Monitor performance and ensure service / performance level agreements are set correctly and honoured from both as a Service Provider and Service Recipient
- Coordinate and liaise with market Corporate Services to enable the embedding of hybrid and new ways of working, including the optimisation of workspace utilisation
- Teamwork – Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-function teamwork by collaboration, challenge actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC values, policies and those not in the best interests of the business and our community
To be successful you will need:
- Strong change and transformation mindset to drive simplification and automation. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Agile/Project Management). Experience in business management, transformation, or program management, strong knowledge on process redesign and automation experience
- Experience in optimising business processes within Finance, Risk, Compliance, and other functions
- Experience & enjoyment in planning and leading large scale communication and significant events / projects
- Equipped with financial and accounting acumen and the ability to budget, track and control expenditures
- Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders and across the Bank in-country, Regional and Group
- Ability to articulate complex and sensitive information and situations in meaningful and concise ways. Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and problem solve
