We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Manager - Innovation Banking.

 

In this role you will need:

  • Work in close partnership with the Innovation Banking coverage and the wider Global Payments Solutions sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities, jointly formulate client engagement strategy to deepen the HSBC cash management wallet share in Singapore and globally
  • Advise relationship management teams on updates of market trends, competitors’ landscape, new cash management solutions and regulatory changes to help respond to emerging customer needs and opportunities
  • Adopt an advisory approach to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cash management solutions that meet those requirements
  • Act as the global sales lead to effectively coordinate and collaborate with the HSBC team across markets and functions to develop appropriate solutions and deliver sales proposals
  • Work closely with the Global Payments Solutions Implementation, Integration, Product and Client Service teams to ensure smooth transition of client mandate into realised revenues, as well as to provide ongoing coverage in response to clients' evolving challenges and requirements
  • Maintain and enhance existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams by identifying and selling innovative GPS solutions, thus maximizing commercial profitability and relationship depth, and support the development and delivery of the strategic sales initiatives.
  • Proactive management and growth of revolving sales pipeline to meet new business EBV (Estimated Business Value) goals and maintain comprehensive sales record in a timely manner to allow tracking of sales performance and sales quality
  • Be recognized as a cash management specialist with an ability to display competent knowledge of relevant products and services within the job holder’s area of responsibility.
  • Maintain and enhance the image of HSBC through the planning and execution of conferences, industry sector workshops, internal and external client road shows and active participation in industry forums.
  • Represent the bank at innovation, startup and fintech-related events to build market presence and thought leadership
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
  • Ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organization. This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviors that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhering to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators.

 

 

To be successful you will need:

  • Strong understanding of startup and fintech business models, funding structures and regulatory policies in Singapore
  • Experience in, and understanding of global cash management techniques, market, competitive environment, trends and regulatory environment is essential.
  • Experience working with digital payments, collections, liquidity and API-enabled banking solutions is highly preferred 
  • Proven sales record with demonstrable evidence of successful selling cash management solutions to corporate customers is essential.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of senior and executive management both within the HSBC Group, and at senior levels in customer organisations
  • Experienced in building and managing multi countries / complex commercial banking relationships
  • Strong commercial orientation combined with a customer driven approach.
  • Excellent written, spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively
  • Time management, negotiation and organisational skills are essential and strong data analytical skills would be advantageous. 
  • Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies and ability to manage high profile portfolio.
