We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Offshore Client Acquisition team as a Senior Premier Business Development Manager
Principal Responsibilities
- Self-source new customers and manage relationships to facilitate acquisition and referrals for the offshore banking platform.
- Achieve financial targets related to the growth of HSBC International Premier clients.
- Expand external networks to maximize client growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with HSBC locally and regionally to enhance cross-business and cross-border referrals, maintaining regular engagement with intragroup partners.
- Manage and nurture internal and external partnerships.
- Develop relationships with Leads Generators (LG) to boost external referrals in Singapore and approved markets.
- Ensure LG onboarding adheres to HSBC's governance and control framework.
- Develop and execute client growth strategies, events, and campaigns.
- Monitor and track campaign results to replicate successes and learn from experiences.
- Engage prospects to promote HSBC Premier International Proposition and marketing initiatives.
- Provide support and guidance to prospects during the account opening process, addressing any enquiries.
- Attend to prospects from various channels, including walk-ins, PWS, contact centres, and intra-group channels.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering guidelines and proper conduct.
- Adhere to onboarding guidelines and regulatory requirements, including KYC and account opening processes, ensuring a smooth transition to Relationship Managers.
- Support customers with tailored banking solutions to meet their financial needs and encourage digital readiness.
- Direct prospects to WCO/IBC/Onboarding specialists for account opening when applicable.
- Collaborate closely with IBC/Onboarding specialists to ensure seamless account opening.
- Drive clients' wealth and digital readiness through engagement, promoting early funding and Internet/Mobile Banking registration.
- Fulfil clients' needs by making appropriate referrals to intra-group for specific products or services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail banking.
- Demonstrated success in sales, preferably within the financial sector.
- Expertise in engaging high-net-worth and international clients.
- Strong sales orientation with excellent networking and prospecting abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in English, Chinese, and other dialects (e.g., Cantonese) for effective communication with clients in North Asia (China, Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan).
