Singapore, SG, 018983
Job description
HSBC Global Private Banking helps high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients manage, grow, and preserve their wealth for generations to come. Our network of global experts helps clients access investment opportunities around the world, plan for future with wealth and succession planning, manage their portfolio with tailored solutions, and find the right support for their philanthropy.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as SVP Wealth Commercialization and Strategy.
In this role you will:
- Support the Head in driving the commercialization agenda across strategic initiatives, ensuring priorities are clearly articulated, execution is coordinated across the franchise, and commercial momentum is maintained to deliver against the franchise’s growth objectives.
- Proactively identify emerging commercialization opportunities, client trends, and capability gaps, bringing forward-looking recommendations to the Head to continuously strengthen the Wealth franchise’s commercial agenda ahead of market developments.
- Support the Head in defining and maintaining the commercial prioritization framework, developing governance structures, intake processes, and evaluation criteria to assess and sequence competing demands in a structured, evidence-based manner, partnering with stakeholders across Distribution, Product, Marketing, Proposition, Operations, Risk and Control to ensure commercialization initiatives are delivered with commercial coherence and compliance.
- Design and execute client engagement strategies and drive wealth product penetration across the client base, working closely with product owners to develop go-to-market plans and translating commercial priorities into compelling, segment-relevant activation strategies for clients and RM-facing teams across the wealth continuum.
- Lead campaign ideation, design, and development with the team, translating commercial priorities into well-sequenced, competitively benchmarked, and insight-led campaign propositions, ensuring investment themes and wealth thought leadership are meaningfully embedded, and overseeing the campaign proposal and approval process to deliver against wealth customer growth and the franchise’s wealth deepening and broad-basing objectives.
- Ensure campaign coherence and optimized client value across the franchise, working with Product, Distribution, and Proposition partners at the campaign design stage to eliminate duplication, align reward structures, and avoid over-incentivization across concurrent initiatives.
- Work closely with the Data & Analytics team, representing the commercialization agenda, driving the forward analytics book of work in support of the Head, and ensuring performance insights, campaign results, and penetration data are captured, interpreted, and fed back into future commercial planning in a timely manner.
- Manage the annual target-setting, financial forecasting, and budgeting process for the Wealth Products & Solutions business with the team, tracking progress against plan and stretch targets; synthesize and produce senior management decks, strategy updates, and business review materials, managing the team’s reporting cadence in support of the Head.
To be successful you will need:
- Experienced in wealth management, commercialization, or strategy, with a demonstrated track record of driving commercial results, managing complex multi-stakeholder agendas, and translating strategic direction into executable plans that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience in client engagement strategy design, campaign ideation and end-to-end delivery, including competitive benchmarking, proposal development, cross-functional alignment, and approval governance, with a solid understanding of wealth products, client segments, and how campaigns, data, and proposition interact to drive wealth customer growth, deepening, and broad-basing outcomes.
- Proven ability to work with product owners to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, with working familiarity with data & analytics frameworks, campaign mechanics, and fulfilment processes sufficient to provide credible oversight and challenge to execution teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial planning processes including annual target-setting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking, with proven ability to synthesize complex multi-workstream information into clear, commercially grounded narratives for senior audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to drive alignment across Distribution, Product, Marketing, Proposition, and control functions in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Highly organized, delivery-focused, and solutions-oriented, brings forward-looking recommendations, follows through with execution discipline, and adapts effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on commercial delivery.
