We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Development and Governance Manager
In this role you will:
- Own end-to-end governance of the fund shelf and discretionary product suite across Retail Wealth and Private Bank.
- Lead product approval and change processes (e.g., new product, material changes, closures), ensuring appropriate documentation, challenge, and sign-off.
- Build and own the discretionary governance framework for Singapore, including:
- Investment policy and mandate compliance monitoring
- Risk oversight protocols (market, liquidity, concentration, suitability, operational and conduct risk)
- Breach management, escalation procedures, and governance reporting
- Own and maintain the discretionary risk and control framework, including key controls, testing/assurance support, issue management, and audit/regulatory engagement.
- Identify product gaps/opportunities (e.g., asset classes, income solutions), supported by data and competitor insights.
- Partner with Investments, Distribution, COO, Risk/Compliance, and Operations to ensure product propositions are commercially viable and operationally deliverable.
- Act as the key interface between Retail Wealth, Private Bank, Investments, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and regional/global product teams.
- Build a high-performing team culture with clear roles, strong governance discipline, and continuous improvement.
To be successful you will need: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Where required for the role, ability to meet applicable local regulatory/competency requirements for product governance and distribution oversight in Singapore.
- Experience with fund due diligence frameworks, distributor oversight, and third-party manager engagement
- Strong governance mindset: structured thinking, attention to detail, and disciplined execution.
- Excellent written communication: ability to produce high-quality committee papers and recommendations.
- Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- High integrity, accountability, and sound judgement.
- Experience in wealth management / private banking / asset management, with significant exposure to:
- Product governance (funds and/or discretionary portfolio solutions)
- Discretionary investment propositions (mandates, model portfolios, DPM governance)
- Risk and control frameworks in a regulated financial institution
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
