We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Performance and Engagement Associate, Change Execution, GCOO.
In this role, you will support the Change Execution team by helping track performance, assist with people related activities and contribute to the smooth running of the portfolio. You will work closely with colleagues across the team, learning how large-scale change is delivered in a global organization. This position will support the Head of Performance and Engagement in the strategy build-out, performance and people management and operational requirements of the CE Function.
This role will have responsibilities and will support across GCOO Change Execution, also supporting the GCOO Head of Change Execution and the CE leadership team.
In this role you will:
- Performance Tracking: Help monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for the Change Execution team. Assist in preparing and tracking scorecards and dashboards to show progress.
- Strategy and Business Management: Help drive sub-function governance, business management activities such as business planning, strategy, operational performance, control and budge and innovation globally.
- Project Support: Support the team in managing projects and programmes, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and following up on actions. Oversee governance and reporting secretariat activities.
- People & Learning: Helping drive the People Strategy in collaboration with HR including monitoring of hiring, retention, training, and development. Assist with people-related activities such as organising training sessions, tracking attendance, and supporting onboarding for new team members. Build learning and certification programmes that uplift skills, leadership capability, and organisational maturity.
- Communications: Help draft and distribute internal communications, newsletters, and updates for the Change Execution team in line with strategic objectives.
- Service Catalogue: Support the maintenance of the Service Catalogue, ensuring activities and services provided by the function are up to date and aligned to strategic deliverables.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues across GCOO and other business areas to help achieve team objectives.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience: Broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within multiple disciplines or a fast changing discipline
- Business / Commercial knowledge: The role requires a comprehensive understanding of how all value units / products / regions / legal entities collectively integrate, alongside a comprehensive knowledge of the industry in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of HSBC.
- Leadership: Management responsibilities for a sizeable team of professionals (including responsibility for budget, and planning)
- Problem Solving: Covers a wide range of diverse activities that require complex judgements and solutions based on conceptual thought and strategic vision and analysis
- Innovation: Is proactive in developing ideas, continuously searching for improvements in techniques which add value to the business and has full responsibility for implementation.
- Accountability / decision making: Latitude to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework. Broad guidelines are available. Role implements strategy set by others.
- Strategic Responsibility: Creates business plans for own teams and expected to contribute into value unit / region / product / legal entity strategy.
- Communication:
- The role requires the ability to guide, persuade and influence others through the developed skills of communication and diplomacy.
- The job is likely to be involved in both internal and external negotiations which will have a major impact on the function, and possibly the entire business unit.
