Manager - Data Strategy Delivery & BI

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager - Data Strategy Delivery & BI.

In this role you will: 

• Support development of a data roadmap to engage stakeholders to understand and identify consistent or conflicting expectations, prioritise and develop management options for execution
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives
• Help drive delivery and execution of Market data roadmap, including the alignment of relevant OKRs and metrics from HSBC Data Strategy and markets, prioritization of funding, and progress reporting
• Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure seamless ingestion of data from multiple sources into a single data repository
• Analyse data ingestion processes, identify improvements, and work closely with technology teams to implement robust data ingestion solutions; ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the ingestion process
• Work closely with analytics teams to analyse complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to non-financial risk; and to develop predictive models and algorithms to assess and mitigate non-financial risk
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design actionable recommendations and process flow to enable timely and effective risk management interventions
• Support regulatory requests for information, inspections and internal/external audits
• Support CDAO Improvement initiatives and undertake ad hoc assignments to meet specific CDAO delivery objectives

To be successful you will need: 

• University degree in a technical or business analysis discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, business management) or relevant postgraduate experience.
• Minimum of 6 years’ banking experience, ideally with hands-on experience in data management, Project management, data analytics and visualization, business requirements analysis.
• Strong collaborative, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with experience managing broad stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams, and strong influencing and presentation abilities.
• Experience in agile working and project delivery, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and confident in navigating through matrix organizational structure and diverse stakeholders to collect and document demand, agree on deliverable objectives,  address roadblocks and deliver timely, effective outcomes.
