We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Head of Investor Coverage

    • Lead and develop the team covering VC firms (especially GPs), ecosystem partners and strategic channels through coaching, hiring and performance management.
    • Build a high-performance, client-centric culture that promotes innovation, learning, accountability and inclusive ways of working.
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Innovation Banking and wider enterprise (as applicable), including Private Banking, Investment Banking and CIB products.
    • Manage senior stakeholders effectively (internal/external), applying strong emotional intelligence to improve execution discipline and outcomes.
    • Own senior client relationships with priority VC managers/GPs, funds and key ecosystem players (e.g., accelerators, incubators, advisers, founder networks).
    • Position HSBC as a trusted partner to the innovation economy by sharing relevant market insights and aligning solutions to client needs.
    • Deliver measurable origination results by building and converting a qualified pipeline through structured coverage and joint account planning.
    • Execute growth safely and sustainably by maintaining strong pipeline/CRM discipline and partnering with Risk/Compliance on KYC/AML, reputational risk, conflicts and governance (including event/partnership guardrails).

To be successful you will need:

    • Proven experience in or closely aligned to the VC ecosystem, with credible GP relationships in Singapore and/or the region.
    • Proven people leadership with a track record of delivering results through others (coaching, hiring, performance management, succession).
    • Strong origination/business development capability, including pipeline creation, conversion and cross-sell in complex stakeholder environments.
    • Deep understanding of the innovation economy and banking needs across the lifecycle (fund formation, growth stages, liquidity events).
    • Excellent executive communication and influencing skills, able to engage senior internal and external stakeholders with confidence.
    • Sound risk and compliance judgement with disciplined approach to operating in a regulated environment.
