We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Institutional Client Services SEA.
In this role you will:
- Lead the Institutional Client Services team in Singapore (4-person team: 2 direct reports in Singapore, 2 indirect in Bangalore) and provide coaching as needed.
- Deliver best-in-class client service and client experience for institutional clients (including HSBC Life Insurance Singapore) across traditional and alternative investments.
- Own day-to-day servicing oversight, including controls, reporting, and overall client communications.
- Participate in client calls/meetings for ongoing servicing; provide timely responses to client enquiries.
- Run regular investment pipeline meetings with clients across relevant asset classes.
- Coordinate production and delivery of client reporting and meeting materials with AMSG/AM and broader internal teams.
- Agree and manage service levels with internal stakeholders; maintain an issues/error log and hold regular quality meetings with support functions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal requirements; review client investment guidelines with investment and support teams and escalate issues to senior management when required.
To be successful you will need:
- 10–15 years’ relevant experience in client services within asset management, covering institutional clients (and/or relevant professional qualifications).
- Strong knowledge of investments, asset classes, the asset management industry, and investment flows (insurance investment knowledge is an advantage).
- Proven client servicing experience in asset management, preferably within Institutional Business.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; strong communication and negotiation capability.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrable risk awareness and ability to identify exceptions.
- Strong organisational/project management capability; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint (people management experience is a strong advantage).
