Our employees enjoy a dynamic and innovative workplace and a world of opportunities to develop their careers in a high-profile growing business segment. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of High-net-worth (HNW) Channel.

In this role you will:

  • Own end-to-end HNW channel performance (topline, activity and quality) across bancassurance partners, private banks and intermediaries, using disciplined management routines (pipeline, conversion, ageing, scorecards).
  • Define and execute the HNW distribution strategy aligned to HSBC Life growth ambitions, proposition priorities and risk appetite.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of HNW business development managers with clear expectations and governance.
  • Drive a solutions-led HNW approach across protection, accumulation and legacy planning; set consistent sales process standards and partner with Product/Technical teams to improve propositions, tools and training.
  • Provide large-case leadership, collaborating with Underwriting and Reinsurance to optimise outcomes (medical/financial/occupational UW, treaty/facultative), manage timelines and ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Build and deepen senior stakeholder relationships and cross-border partnerships (private banks, EAMs, family offices), representing HSBC Life externally and ensuring cross-border activity operates within Compliance/Legal/Technical controls.

To be successful you will need:

  • Strong experience in life insurance distribution, wealth management or private banking, with a strong focus on HNW/UHNW clients (Singapore/Asia).
  • Proven track record driving HNW growth via third-party bancassurance, private bank partnerships and/or broker/intermediary channels.
  • Strong capability in large-case management and complex wealth/legacy planning, including succession, trust/estate contexts and cross-border considerations.
  • Hands-on collaboration with Underwriting and Reinsurance on complex cases (financial underwriting, treaty/facultative structures and referrals), able to explain outcomes credibly while maintaining risk discipline.
  • Strong HNW product and sales expertise across UL/VUL/indexed and legacy solutions, with disciplined sales execution (profiling, suitability, case design, documentation quality, conversion management) and MAS distribution governance awareness.
  • People leader with executive presence—commercially accountable, able to influence senior stakeholders in a matrix, translate strategy into measurable plans, and lead through change.
