We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Corporate Banking Manager.

 

Global Network Banking (GNB) is Corporate and Institutional Banking’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Banking customers within the Global Corporate (GC) and International Mid-Market Enterprise (IMM) segments. The Global Network Banking strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The Global Network Banking business is a significant contributor of revenue to Banking and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 60 countries.

 

In this role you will

  • Manage a portfolio of clients within the Global Network Banking team wherein the major focus would be to manage relationships and execute deals for HSBC’s global relationships across various geographies predominantly the large Western Headquartered conglomerates, leveraging the strength of HSBC Singapore’s balance sheet
  • Drive and proactively grow revenues as well as increase wallet share from existing portfolio across all product groups by working closely with sector leads and product partners     
  • Identify new business leads and introduce new opportunities and develop a trusted advisor status with the clients’ key decision makers in order to grow long-term relationships
  • Maintain regular contact with Global Relationship Bankers and other relevant stakeholders to grow the revenues and uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles
  • Ensure sound credit quality and growth of assets whilst managing returns for clients
  • Communicate and liaise with various internal stakeholders (e.g. Global Relationship Banker, in-country Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal, Global Trade Solutions, Global Payment Solutions, Global Markets, Operations) to support client requirements and deliver customized solutions while ensuring client satisfaction
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and perform to the highest standards, combining client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external standards that apply to the conduct of the business including but not limited to Know Your Customer, Anti Money Laundering regulations and procedures in order to fight or manage Financial Crime Risk
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers by taking ownership of customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customer or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards
  • Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles

 

To be successful you will need

  • Proven experience in managing large client relationships and driving business growth across large conglomerates across varied sectors
  • Strong knowledge of Corporate & Institutional Banking products and services, Credit & Lending and Credit Structuring, Trade and Structured Trade, Markets & Cash management products
  • Strong credit, analytical and financial skills with attention to detail
  • Expertise in managing negotiations with clients as well as internal stakeholders across wholesale market and credit risk, credit capital management, operations, etc.
  •  To keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory developments and requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
