We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Analyst - Data Strategy Delivery & BI.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Support Singapore’s development of a data roadmap to engage stakeholders to understand and identify consistent or conflicting expectations, prioritise and develop management options for execution
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and available analytics tooling, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives
  • Support delivery and execution of Market data roadmap, including the alignment of relevant OKRs and metrics from HSBC Data Strategy and markets, prioritization of funding, and progress reporting
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure seamless ingestion of data from multiple sources into a single data repository
  • Analyse data ingestion processes, identify improvements, and work closely with technology teams to implement robust data ingestion solutions; ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the ingestion process
  • Work closely with analytics teams to analyse complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to non-financial risk; and to develop predictive models and algorithms to assess and mitigate non-financial risk
  • Work closely with Businesses and Functions to develop and document actionable recommendations and process flow to enable timely and effective risk management interventions
  • Support regulatory requests for information, inspections and internal/external audits
  • Support CDAO Improvement initiatives and undertake ad hoc assignments to meet specific CDAO delivery objectives

 

To be successful you will need: 

  • University degree preferably in technical or business analysis discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, business management) or relevant postgraduate experience.
  • Minimum of 1 years of working experience, ideally with hands-on experience in data management, project management, data analytics & visualization, business analysis.
  • Strong collaborative, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, preferably with experience working with various stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge or prior experience in agile ways of working and project delivery is an advantage, along with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong willingness to learn and stay up to date with analytics tools, project management techniques, and presentation best practices. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) is expected; familiarity with SQL, Alteryx, and Qlik Sense is an advantage.
  • Team player - participate in key initiatives as a team member and individual contributor as required
