Associate Director, Global FX Services

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Global FX Services.
In this role you will:
- Identifying opportunities across FX Overlay, ETS (Algo and Benchmark) and FX Prime Brokerage in conjunction with internal partners and Relationship Management / Sales organization.
- Drive the strategic initiatives and outcomes to increase our FX Prime, FX Overlay, FX Algo and FX Benchmark related market share with Hedge Fund client base in Singapore.
- Designing FX related solutions including responsibility for the required regulatory sign-off, internal new product approval and approval from control functions across the Asia Pacific region.
- Drive onboarding and implementation including IT integration of mandated solutions to ensure successful conclusion in a globally consistent manner and delivery of the required result for Asia.
- Be at the forefront of digital developments relating to FX to ensure that HSBC retains its leading position within FX in Asia.
- Assist colleagues in the day-to-day operations of managing risk in relation to Algorithmic and Benchmark FX execution, FX Overlay and Securities Supported FX.
- Effective risk management and regulatory compliance
To be successful you will need:
- Knowledge and understanding of custodial services for institutional clients with particular focus on Asia Pacific
- Strong risk management background with knowledge of FX in restricted markets across Asia Pacific and a good understanding of the implications of those restrictions on all types of FX including securities supported FX and FX hedging
- Strong understanding of regulatory framework related to FX Prime Brokerage especially on CFTC and regulatory reporting requirements.
- General knowledge and understanding of middle and back office processes related to FX including rules and regulation in relation to restricted markets
- Excellent communication skills to be able to collaborate with internal stakeholders across HSBC and influence their decisions within a strict control framework
- Ability to be able to understand the link between several complex systems and an inquisition develop strategic solutions that cover IT infrastructure and all the support functions across products to secure the long term future of the HSBC franchise
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
