Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Assistant Vice President, Product Manager.
In this role you will:
- Manage End-to-End Product Development – Drive the design, pricing, and launch of life insurance products, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Oversee Product Documentation & Delivery – Manage preparation and approval of product materials, including contracts, policy illustrations, product summaries and marketing collaterals.
- Monitor Product Performance – Track post-launch KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and recommend enhancements or repricing where needed.
- Manage Regulatory & Governance Requirements – Ensure products comply with internal, regulatory, and audit standards, maintaining proper documentation and governance processes.
- Coordinate Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with internal teams, reinsurers, and regulators to resolve issues and ensure smooth product implementation.
- Conduct Market & Competitor Analysis – Perform competitive benchmarking and analyse customer and distribution insights to refine propositions.
- Support Reporting & Committee Submissions – Prepare and deliver required product reports, updates, and submissions to internal and external governance bodies.
- Drive Continuous Product Improvement – Lead product change initiatives, manage ad-hoc projects, and provide actionable recommendations for portfolio enhancement.
To be successful you will need:
- Relevant strong experience in individual life and health insurance product development or management. Strong background in protection and savings products with exposure to critical illness riders, market trends, and customer needs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas to diverse audiences.
- Innovation mindset: Think creatively, challenge assumptions, and develop innovative solutions.
- Stakeholder management: Proven ability to influence and collaborate with people from different business functions.
- Academic qualification: Graduate in Business Management, Actuarial or related fields of study.
