We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Competency Standards.

In this role you will: 

  • Lead end-to-end Training & Competency (T&C) delivery which includes:
    • Coordinating annual competency assessments; Conducting regular competency reviews; Verifying educational qualifications;
    • Managing mandatory training and CPD requirements, ensuring alignment with relevant rules and regulations; Conducting training relating to T&C and Supervisory responsibilities
    • Reviewing and updating Rules & Regulations and Ethics modules for core CPD modules accreditation
    • Responding to queries raised by stakeholders (audit, compliance, risk, regulators)
  • Partner with key stakeholders (Compliance, Risk & Governance, Channels) to identify and close performance or conduct gaps highlighted through customer complaints, BSC insights, and mystery shopping outcomes.
  • Manage sales advisory standards (updating of sales manual), ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the implementation of sales advisory systems to embed these standards while enabling business growth.
  • Compile data for reporting purposes.

To be successful you will need: 

  • Demonstrated Training & Competency experience within the financial planning sector, supported by relevant industry certifications (i.e. M5, M9, M9A, HI, M8, M8A)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships with stakeholders
