We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a AVP RBWM Risk and Control RBWM CCO.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Act as the First Line of Defence for Risk & Control Management, partnering with Risk and Control Owners to strengthen governance and manage non-financial risk (including Operational Risk, Information Security Risk, Digital Risk, Third Party Risk, Technology/IT Risk, Business Continuity/Operational Resilience and Data Risk) across the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand product strategy, customer journeys and end-to-end processes, embedding risk and control considerations into business decisions and change delivery (including IT change). Use these insights to identify, aggregate and escalate control weaknesses and emerging risks that could breach appetite/tolerance or regulatory expectations, with a particular focus on resilience.
  • Coordinate with the Data Privacy Officer and relevant Risk SMEs on breach/incident reporting inputs, ensuring timely, accurate regulatory submissions and lessons-learned actions.
  • Challenge and support initiatives (including IT change) to ensure NFR requirements are designed in, risks are assessed, controls are defined, and residual risk is clearly understood and accepted.
  • Establish/maintain operational controls aligned to the Group Operational Risk Management Framework and obligations.
  • Lead targeted reviews (e.g., incident/problem management, change management, access control, third-party resilience) to identify gaps, improve control design and uplift operational discipline.
  • Promote a strong risk and compliance culture, treating resilience as a customer and regulatory priority.

 

 To be successful you will need:

  • Strong understanding of Operational Risk and Controls, Information Security Risk and Resilience, with knowledge of IWPB products, services and operating model.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving with strong remediation follow‑through.
  • Strong communication/influencing skills with senior stakeholders across Business, Tech, Ops and Risk.
