HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (HSBC Qianhai), a joint venture securities company, was incorporated on 28 August 2017, pursuant to Supplementary Agreement X to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangements (CEPA) between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The registered capital of HSBC Qianhai is RMB1.8 billion. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) holds 90% of the shares, while Qianhai Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. Responsibilities of the role holder

  • Assess client needs, experience, expectations and risk tolerance
  • Develop comprehensive investment strategy and asset allocation proposal appropriate to client
  • Coordinate execution of investment strategy with appropriate products and services
  • Monitor client portfolios for performance, appropriateness and opportunity
  • Provide updates on investment opportunities to clients, prospects and Relationship Managers
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitor investment capabilities, product offering and pricing policies
  • Provide input and support for the development of new business initiatives and product enhancement
  • Identify and communicate issues or limitations related to product, platform, operations, systems or pricing

 To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven track record in investment advisory and/or investment sales in private wealth management, asset management, sell side or buy side
  • Knowledge of private banking business onshore and/or offshore
  • Knowledge of competitive and regulatory environment 
  • Client focused, with strong sales, analytic, technical, teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Strong negotiation, complex problem resolution, communication and presentation skills
  • Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professional and personal integrity
