Third parties power a huge part of how HSBC delivers services every day. This role puts you at the centre of that ecosystem—as a leader within our global TPM team, shaping how we manage, govern and improve third-party outcomes across Procurement, the Global Businesses and Group Infrastructure.

If you like operating at scale, influencing senior stakeholders, and turning strategy into a practical operating model that actually works, you’ll feel right at home.

Your mission

Deliver a high-quality, standardised approach to third-party management across HSBC—optimising outcomes in line with TPM standards and requirements.

A core part of your mission is to develop, socialise and deliver the new Target Operating Model (TOM) for Third-Party Management—turning strategy into a scalable way of working that’s practical for the front line and drives consistent, high-quality outcomes. You’ll take the operating model from design through to adoption and execution, strengthening accountabilities, processes, controls, tooling and insights so third parties deliver services that meet HSBC requirements and are effectively managed.

What you’ll do

  • Lead TPM delivery globally, ensuring the operating model enables the business to manage third parties effectively.
  • Drive socialisation and adoption of the new global target operating model for third-party management.
  • Design and deploy improved organisational structures and operating models to drive consistent high-quality outcomes.
  • Elevate Group Infrastructure & Group Business supplier management standards through delivery of a tactical programme of enhancements.
  • Oversee TPM capabilities, ensuring process and technology work effectively to enable the business in managing third parties.
  • Drive proposals to create enhanced accountability for third-party management standards within GB/GIs.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to influence third-party management strategy and operational practices.
  • Ensure changes to third-party processes are practical and workable for businesses, functions and service/supplier managers—enabling better third-party oversight.
  • Maximise performance insights and new technology to simplify supplier management and improve execution against service, cost, contract performance and relationship disciplines.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tooling and platform functionality with IT (e.g. OneTPM and AI capabilities) to define requirements and deliver changes in a timely manner.
  • Oversee provision of TPM data to support the business and regions.
  • Oversee management and coordination of Global TPM internal audits.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in third-party management and utilities.

What you’ll bring

  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): proven ability to develop and manage strategic supplier relationships.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: strong understanding from planning and creation through execution and ongoing management; confident partnering with Legal.
  • Supplier management strategy & planning: experience developing strategies and plans that enable operational requirements.
  • Operational control execution: ability to deploy controls and frameworks to uplift supplier management standards globally.
  • Metrics and measurements: confident using measurement and insight to assess performance and risk.
  • Procurement leadership: able to communicate a clear vision and influence stakeholders across a matrix.
  • Strong core capabilities including agility, change and transformation, influencing, communication and presentation skills, prioritisation, relationship management, and virtual collaboration.
