We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Supplier Management.
Global Procurement plays a critical role in shaping how HSBC manages its suppliers, driving consistency, value, and innovation across the bank. In this role, you will set the standards for supplier management, develop and implement contract management frameworks, and lead supplier account planning to maximise performance and compliance. As part of a small specialist team, you’ll act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring HSBC’s supplier relationships deliver lasting strategic and commercial impact.

In this role, you will:
- Drive Supplier Management Excellence: Partner with stakeholders to embed best practices in supplier management, ensuring consistent adoption of standards and transparent reporting to deliver measurable value.
- Develop Frameworks and Set Standards: Lead the creation and continual refinement of contract management and supplier management frameworks, setting the standards that guide consistent practices across HSBC.
- Influence Senior Stakeholders: Engage with senior leaders to champion proactive supplier management, secure alignment with strategic objectives, and embed supplier account plans into business operations.
- Enhance Performance and Compliance: Support the design and delivery of performance management methodologies, service levels, and contract terms that promote accountability, compliance, and business impact.
- Maximise Value Through Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with strategic suppliers to unlock additional commercial value and drive long-term benefits through innovative and partnership-led approaches.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Expertise in Supplier Management Frameworks: Proven experience in developing and implementing supplier account plans, contract management frameworks, and governance models to deliver consistency and value.
- Analytical and Insight-Driven Approach: The ability to conduct, interpret, and present supplier research with meaningful insights that inform decision-making and demonstrate tangible outcomes.
- Commercial and Contractual Acumen: Strong knowledge of contract management, with the ability to align commercial outcomes to HSBC’s strategic priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Relationship-Building Skills: Experience building collaborative, trust-based relationships with suppliers to deliver innovation, joint value creation, and enhanced performance across the supply base.
- Risk and ROI Focus: A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, while applying relevant measures to demonstrate the return on investment of supplier management initiatives.
