Enterprise Technology is the Technology organisation responsible for the design, build and ongoing maintenance of the systems owned by the Group Functions (Risk, Compliance, Finance, Core Banking, Corporate Functions and Deputy COO). The organisation consists of over 8,000 people working in collaboration across 14 countries, to support over 3,000 applications.

The HSBC Treasury Business is going through a large transformation programme, aiming to consolidate legacy application and new use cases on a single and consistent engineering Platform. It will support all known use cases (some currently hosted in different non-strategic, Legacy solutions) and demise some EUC and legacy service. This platform will use FLEX (data acquisition and processing) and MEX (Model Execution Platform) to generate key metrics like Net Income Interest, Daily Gap, RWA and more. The platform will be used by Group Treasury and Finance team to perform internal or external regulatory reporting.

In this role you will:

• Join the rapid development pod to help accelerating the onboarding of new use case into a strategic platform
• This will require to understand the design concept of the strategic platform and help less experience development team get up to speed with the development methodology
• Step in and out from existing pods to help having an impact and accelerate delivery
• Produce and present high level design idea to simplify use case integration into the platform

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Proven hands on experience as a Java developer
• Seasoned with Micro services architecture, deployed on Kubernetes
• Proven Experience with Apache (Spark, Flink and Airflow)
• Database: Postgres and Clickhouse

• Familiar with message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Python
• OPAS and entitlement solution
• Data warehousing

This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
