We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Operational Resilience and Risk, Technology Controls SME.
You’ll play a key part in advancing HSBC's Operational and Technology Resilience goals, ensuring the delivery of reliable services to customers. It involves engaging with diverse and senior stakeholders to ensure technology control standards for Third Parties are effectively defined in line with internal and regulatory requirements and incorporated into Global Third-Party Management BAU process design.

In this role you’ll:
- Maintain and evolve the Third-Party Technology Control Standards:
- Coordinate inputs from SMEs across range of stakeholders including Technology Control Owner, Resilience Risk and Third-Party Management teams in the development and evolution of the standards
- Prepare enhancements to the standards including identifying impact on process and stakeholders and managing associated dependencies
- Maintain and evolve library of best practice including the definition of the standards, templates, guidance and training materials with traceability to drivers and inputs
- Assure the quality of the implementation of the Third-Party Technology Control Standards:
- Conduct Quality Assurance across the implementation of the standards including sample-based and thematic-based assurance to ensure Technology owned activities are accurate and meet expected standards
- Ensure GCIO is compliant with all applicable regulatory and HSBC internal Operational Resilience requirements
- Enhance the effective implementation of the Third-Party Technology Control Standards:
- Act as a key central point of contact to consult with and provide Subject Matter Expertise to stakeholders
- Leverage outputs of quality assurance and feedback from stakeholders to enhance the implementation through guidance and training, utilising a range of communication channels and methods
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Subject Matter Expert with proven ability to drive, challenge, align and guide complex stakeholder groups to assure resilient outcomes
- Clear understanding of Technology services and core areas of technology resilience
- Proven experience in IT Service Management with deep knowledge of ITIL principles and Technology controls across solution design and implementation, recovery from disruption and the operational environment
- Ability to be highly effective within a risk and control management environment
- Demonstrable experience in Supplier / Vendor management, and understanding of end-to-end Third-Party Management processes and Technology supplier portfolios
