In this role, you will:
HSBC is seeking a Network Specialist with extensive hands-on experience in Routing & Switching, DevOps, and Agile methodologies. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale networks while leveraging automation-based solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise in Cisco networking and a strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices within a banking and financial environment.
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on high availability, security, and compliance.
- Configure and maintain Routing & Switching solutions using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASR.
- Implement advanced WAN, LAN, and Data Center networking solutions across global HSBC locations.
- Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN, SD access and QoS to ensure seamless global connectivity.
- Working knowledge of Sonic or any white boxing Network solution and troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple HSBC business units.
- Utilize tools like Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Wireshark for real-time network monitoring and optimization.
- Conduct network risk assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with HSBC’s security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python for automated network provisioning.
- Work in an Agile environment, contributing to Scrum or Kanban teams for iterative network deployments.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience in Networking Expertise: Deep knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNP/CCIE certified preferred but not essential).
- Protocols & Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN.
- Security & Compliance: Experience with firewalls, NAC, and Zero Trust security models.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience with Cisco DNA, Sevone, HPNA, Netscout, Wireshark.
- Knowledge of Dev-ops tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git etc would be desirable
- Certifications (Preferred): CCNP, CCIE, AWS Networking & Devnet
