Principal Responsibilities
- Supporting and maintaining full functionality of equipment and applications provided by the DDI team.
- Ensuring all aspects of the environment are maintained efficiently with minimal disruption to the customer base.
- Working effectively as part of the global team to drive infrastructure deliverables and support requirements.
- Ensuring that standard ITIL processes are followed correctly and appropriately, e.g. problem management, incident management, release management, change management and configuration management. Implement ITIL best practice where applicable.
- Identifying, monitoring, driving, and tracking service improvements contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours (following initial training / settling in period). Provide 2nd/3rd line DDI support for incidents to lead problem resolution and coordination activities
Applications will be required to have:
- Information Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous
- An appreciation and understanding of Networking technologies
- A strong desire to learn new skills, take on new challenges and work closely with colleagues to drive positive outcomes.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving skills
- A Demonstrable ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Supported project teams/managers, showing an understanding of the basic principles of project management
- A collaborative approach, ability to work in multi-functional groups and the ability and willingness to work with others around the world
- Proficient English written and verbal communication skills
Additionally, the following would be advantageous but not essential:
- Experience working in an IT or infrastructure support role
- Experience of making prompt and practical business decisions, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
- An understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
- A background in DDI technologies, experience managing and maintaining QIP/ Infoblox / efficient IP infrastructures.
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP Address management, BIND, QIP, Infoblox, efficientIP, F5 GTM
