We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of IDAM Transformation Program Lead.
At HSBC we’re redefining IDAM on a global scale and launching a transformational programme to bridge modern IDAM technology and solutions with big bank scale and complexity. The IDAM Transformation program is forecast to be 5 years plus with significant change to be designed, planned and implemented globally. The transformation encompasses all aspects of IDAM from Authentication through to elevated access and will cover human and non-human identities.
We’re looking for an experienced Program Lead who has deep expertise in Identity Management and a successful track record of delivery in complex and global organisations. The role will report to the Global Head of IDAM Transformation, Strategy and Capability and be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team.

In this role you will:
- Take ownership of the IDAM Transformation program and lead the coordination, delivery and change of IDAM at HSBC
- Lead, co-ordinate and manage multiple resources and forums from engineering to Executive SteerCo.
- You will be responsible for managing multiple projects which form the transformational programme of work for IDAM
- You will need to understand the technology, solutions and business outcomes of the strategy and be able to convey these to stakeholders up to C level.
- Be responsible for the successful delivery of the whole of the proposed change, co-ordination of the projects and management of their inter-dependencies.
- Be responsible for delivering change. The role requires effective co-ordination of the workstreams and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits.
- Requirements - Sources, categorises and prioritises requirements (mandatory, risk, control, strategy or maturity) with the business and translates these into Strategic Business Outcomes (SBOs) at a Programme and Service Line level.
- Definition of Strategic Business Outcomes (SBOs) - define and deliver Strategic Business Outcomes (SBOs) and validate these with business engagement representatives at a Programme and Service Line level. Sign off criteria and evidence requirements for all SBOs to be agreed with Control Owners, Business Enablement function and service recipients.
- Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs) - define outcomes and key results for each delivery quarter ensuring these are ambitious and are able to be tracked and reported at a Programme and Service Line level.
- Activity Backlog - translates SBOs and OKRs into JIRA backlogs (epics) and Clarity milestones (for outcomes) ensuring workload traceability back to work category (mandatory, risk, control, strategy or maturity) and impacts for GB/GF/Regions.
- Risk and Issue Management - proactively identifies and manages risks and issues against the delivery plan ensuring these are articulated in good time, levelled correctly and reported to the appropriate governance forum (LPM, QBR etc.). All risks and issues to be maintained in Clarity and levelled appropriately.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- A deep understanding of Identity Management including Authentication, governance, access management and privileged access management
- Successful track record of delivering IDAM successfully in large global organisations is mandatory
- Strong C Level stakeholder engagement and management skills and the ability to communicate strongly to this type of audience
- The ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment
This role is based in Sheffield.
