We are seeking an exceptional leader to shape and deliver the future of our Protective Security Technology estate. The role will lead the transformation of how we design, deploy and operate technologies including CCTV, Access Control, PSIM.

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced technologist who combines technical curiosity with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop a high performing team. The successful candidate will be required to build trusted partnerships with our business, work closely with our vendors and create an ambitious roadmap that provides a great user experience, whilst being scalable and innovative; critically operating with keeping the bank safe at the core.

 

In this role you will:

  • Define and deliver the Protective Security technology strategy in alignment with our business partners
  • Lead the Protective Security Technology team through significant Transformation across all areas
  • Oversee the lifecycle of Protective Security systems – from design and procurement to deployment and ongoing operations
  • Ensure integration across platforms, moving towards data driven protective security solutions
  • Champion innovation in areas such as analytics, AI/ML and cloud-based technologies – whilst maintaining adherence to our regulatory landscape and commitments
  • Challenge, and maintain the Protective Security contribution to the Future State Architecture
  • Provide outstanding pastoral leadership to a diverse global team. Maintaining a strong culture of trust, inclusion and professional development.
  • Partner with external vendors and integrators to manage contracts, integrations, performance and innovation
  • Represent the Protective Security Technology function to a senior level within the bank and with external partners

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Demonstrable track record of technology leadership within Protective Security environment
  • Proven experience delivering Global scale Technology transformation programmes
  • Experience defining and delivering a Protective Security technology strategy on a Global scale
  • Exceptional people leadership, with a record of mentoring, coaching and team development
  • Experience building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and external parties
  • Commercial and vendor management, able to drive value and innovation
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions, whilst not being afraid to challenge

 

This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
