We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Cyber Security Engineering Product Management
The Head of Cyber Security Engineering Product Management is responsible for overseeing the delivery and implementation of a product management framework across Cyber Technology and Engineering. Working as head of practice, this role will drive the adoption of product management working practices through collaborating with leaders across the function. It will be an advocate for a customer-first mindset, assisting teams in their development of artefacts, processes and methodologies to match.

In this role you will:
- Develop and implement an appropriate Product Management framework across Cyber’s Engineering teams
- Work with teams to aid their development of related artefacts, such as roadmaps, prioritised backlogs, and strategies.
- Drive the development of a cross-domain cybersecurity engineering strategy and roadmap that aligns with HSBC's broader cyber security strategy and goals.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's cybersecurity capabilities, the solution(s) they provide, their associated roadmaps, and potential areas for further utility.
- Collaborate with Cyber security stakeholders, internal business customers, and other internal teams to gather and prioritise Cyber security engineering requirements. Work with Capability and Product Owners to ensure these are translated into detailed functional specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Drive framework adoption to ensure teams make informed decisions about roadmap prioritisation based on customer needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory demand.
- Drive a customer focus across delivery teams
- Establish appropriate a customer-focussed metric programme to measure progress across Cyber
- Introduce and encourage adoption of customer engagement models
- Collaborate with design teams to provide focus on the enhancement of the user experience and usability of the cybersecurity product.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive Product Owner experience – producing product roadmaps; prioritising and managing feature request delivery and backlogs – ideally for multiple different products.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering major product enhancements - managing different stakeholders and balancing the requirements of customers and delivery with available resources, skills and budgets.
- Extensive experience of successful Agile delivery – ideally using methodologies such as SAFE or Scrum – with good knowledge of Agile tools (e.g. Jira) and Agile metrics (e.g. DORA).
- Technical subject matter expertise in at least one of IT Infrastructure, Cloud, Software Development, or Cyber Security
- Demonstrable examples of developing communities of practice or user focus groups to gather feedback and build consensus on technical issues and solutions
- Proven experience building and leading teams – ideally of product owners or high performing technical individuals required to expand the scope and reach of the practice
