Technology teams in the UK work closely with our global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. They also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. People, Governance and Communications, and Group COO Technology is responsible for proving solutions that help HSBC employees navigate HR related tasks for themselves and their team.
The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the People data related activities required for any M/A&D projects. Ensuring that tasks are delivered on time, within scope and on budget, whilst aligning with the strategy, controls, and governance of the central M/A&D team
In this role you will:
- Maintenance of technology related Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments artefacts and procedures.
- Ensuring that projects are managed in line with internal risk management procedures including ensuring all technology staff involved are recorded on the insider register as required.
- Ensuring teams follow strict protocols around data movement and sharing and the necessary sign offs are in place before any data is shared.
- Project Planning and Coordination, defining project scope, goals milestones and timelines.
- Developing detailed project plans, tasks, milestone, and resource allocation.
- Coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying potential risks in the plans and reports effectively.
- Budget & Resource Management, estimating project budgets and costs, managing resources, including internal / external staff, tracking project expenditure and ensures adherence to forecasts.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience delivering E2E projects within HR Technology environment.
- Experience in data protection, and risk management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience of understanding and meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of data protection controls, regulation, and compliance requirements.
- Previous exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions is advantageous.
- Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Strong communication skills to navigate through business requirements and differences of opinion on approach.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across stakeholder groups and ability to influence large teams without direct leadership authority.
This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
