Group AI Commercialisation Lead

 

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Group AI Commercialisation Lead.


In this role, you will act as the bridge between advanced AI/ML capabilities and real-world business applications, leading a team to identify, develop, and scale AI-powered efficiency and innovation opportunities. By working with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will accelerate responsible AI adoption across the organisation, driving measurable impact and long-term value.

 

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Partner with business units to identify and shape AI/ML use cases that deliver efficiency, innovation, and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable AI/ML solutions aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Lead collaboration with data scientists and engineers to test, validate, and refine AI models for deployment.
  • Ensure AI initiatives meet governance, ethical, and regulatory standards while navigating risk in a banking context.
  • Build strong relationships across business, risk, compliance, and technology teams to secure alignment and drive adoption.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • AI/ML Expertise: Strong knowledge of the AI/ML ecosystem, including generative AI, NLP, foundation models, and traditional ML techniques.
  • AI Project Implementation: Hands-on experience delivering AI implementation projects within a large or complex organisation.
  • Financial Services Experience: Background in financial services, consulting, or technology, with a focus on innovation, transformation, or solution delivery.
  • Governance Awareness: Proven experience navigating AI model governance, data standards, and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
  • Leadership & Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities, with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.

 

This role is based in Sheffield on a hybrid basis.
