MSS Operations IT is currently working on a multi-year, multimillion program to replace existing legacy Applications in Asset Services IT space. This program involves front to Back systems involved in the implementation across Equities and Fixed Income Asset Classes within Markets and Security Services IT.  We are looking for a senior experienced Corporate Actions Technical SME to join our existing team to Manage the end to end delivery for the program. 

 

In this role you will:

  • Technical design, development, implementation, automation and maintenance of the Asset Services IT platform to meet the needs of the business. 
  • Pre-production acceptance testing to help assure the quality of our products / services. 
  • Suggesting and contributing to architecture improvements, recommending process improvements. 
  • Ensuring system’s compliance to the constantly changing cybersecurity standards by ensuring timely improvements and ever greening upgrades of the systems. 
  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems. 
  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across the platform and application domains. 
  • Contribute to the smooth running of IT systems by ensuring that problems with production systems and IT services are investigated and resolved efficiently with minimum disruption to the business. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions/policies, internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour. 
  • Manage Transition in a multivendor environment. 
  • Manage proper Support model for local Business users and make sure to be the local SPOC for the Business for any AS IT support related things/tasks

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Must have extensive IT experience in coding, Project management and Technical Program management
  • Must be able to demonstrate Core Java experience
  • Proven experience of program/Support Management experience
  • Experience of workflow such as static data sourcing, trade booking and settlement/confirmations knowledge
  • Understanding/Exposure to Operations workflows
  • Investment Banking knowledge
  • Beneficial to have prior experience of Fixed Income applications

 

This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
